I’m Gordon.A legend in my mind.
I do what I do.How?
Let me explain.
It’s so tiny that millions fit across one hair.Everything is made of atoms: walls, air, you, me.
Each atom has three parts:protons and neutrons in the middle, electrons racing around them.
The strong nuclear force holds the center together. The electromagnetic force keeps electrons nearby.
No forces → no atoms. No atoms → no anything.
It’s made of many atoms that are all the same kind.
For example, Hydrogen has 1 proton, 1 neutron and 1 electron.Carbon has 6 of each, Oxygen – 8.
Change the number of protons, and you get a different element – iron, copper, silver, gold, and many more.
Currently 118.Most natural, some man-made.But all in perfect order.
It’s made of many different atoms.
For example,2 hydrogen atoms (H) + 1 oxygen atom (O)Put them together and you get: H₂O — water.
1 carbon atom (C) + 2 oxygen atoms (O)That makes CO₂ — carbon dioxide.Plants love this stuff.
The combinations are uncountable.Like the stars in heaven.
Because of the molecular force.
It appears, when molecules come very close.
When humans touch a wall, they don’t feel it.But a gecko does.
Each toe has millions of small hairs. They all touch at the same time and create enough force to hold him.
It is not glue, nor suction, nor magnetism. It’s atoms holding on to atoms.
That is why they can climb walls and walk on ceilings.
Spiders can do this, too.Beginner’s luck.
